The Quality Management Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising the company’s quality management system to ensure all products and services meet international standards and customer expectations. This is a strategic role that enhances brand reputation, optimizes quality control processes, and drives continuous improvement across the company.

Reports directly to: Board of Directors

Key Responsibilities:

1. Establish Quality Requirements

  • Set quality goals and policies covering raw materials to finished goods
  • Oversee QA/QC department operations and communicate customer technical requirements
  • Review, revise procedures, SOPs, and forms to ensure compliance
  • Supervise document control system and Competitive Advantage (CA) systems
  • Take preventive actions to avoid non-conforming products reaching customers
  • Plan training and support departmental needs to drive continuous improvement

2. Maintain QA Systems

  • Participate in and support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities
  • Represent quality during all APQP stages and complete required documentation
  • Conduct preliminary assessments and develop PFMEA; determine inspection equipment

3. Maintain QC Systems

  • Respond promptly to internal/external customer inquiries and complaints
  • Monitor inspection processes to ensure compliance with standards
  • Collaborate with technical, production, and sales teams to resolve quality issues
  • Enforce strict rules to prevent recurring defects more than three times

4. Monitor, Evaluate, and Improve Operations

  • Supervise department schedules and individual staff workload
  • Implement and oversee quality control plans and budgets
  • Research competitors and market trends to enhance product quality and design
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and clients
  • Handle customer complaints swiftly and satisfactorily
  • Oversee recruitment, objective setting, performance rewards, and discipline
  • Promote the company’s vision, mission, and core values
  • Train and develop successors and enhance staff capabilities
  • Deliver on cost-reduction commitments for the department

Authority:

  • Train staff across departments on quality control
  • Require corrective actions for quality-related issues
  • Document and sanction procedural violations affecting quality
  • Request product-related information from other departments
  • Reject incoming/outgoing materials/products that don’t meet standards
  • Halt production lines to protect product quality
  • Propose quality control improvement initiatives
  • Recommend rewards or disciplinary measures for staff as appropriate

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Plastics Technology, or equivalent
  • 5+ years in quality management in Petrochemical or Plastics industry with deep QA/QC process knowledge and international standards (ISO 9000/2015, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA)
  • Advanced English
  • Proficient in SAP, quality management, and office software
