Our client is a well-established international manufacturing company seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead its Vietnam manufacturing operations.

This position is responsible for overseeing plant operations, manufacturing excellence, quality management, supply chain, and EHS while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Operations

  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved in terms of quality, productivity, cost, and safety.
  • Manage daily plant operations and optimize production performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve equipment effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement operational plans aligned with business objectives and customer demand.
  • Ensure EHS standards are integrated into all manufacturing activities.

Quality Management

  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal quality systems, and industry standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production or customer quality issues.
  • Build a strong quality culture through audits, training, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to improve product performance and consistency.

Supply Chain & Procurement

  • Oversee procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and supplier performance.
  • Develop strategic supplier relationships to secure quality materials at competitive costs.
  • Optimize inventory levels and supply chain efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure uninterrupted production.

Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS.
  • Develop operational procedures, work instructions, and employee training programs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Report operational performance and contribute to regional business strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Textile Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in manufacturing operations management within nonwoven, textile, or yarn spinning industries.
  • Hands-on experience with carding technology is highly preferred.
  • Strong background in plant management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Solid knowledge of Quality Management Systems, EHS, procurement, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Familiar with import/export regulations related to manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
