Import Officer

Responsible for managing the entire import process of air conditioners from Thailand to Vietnam. This includes working with suppliers, organizing transportation, handling documentation and customs clearance to ensure timely delivery, correct product quality, and full compliance with Vietnamese regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Work with suppliers in Thailand to confirm orders, production schedules, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
• Organize international shipping from Thailand to Vietnam via sea freight, coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping lines.
• Prepare and verify import documents, including: Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, CO, CQ, Certificate of Origin (Form D), etc.
• Liaise with Vietnamese customs authorities to complete customs clearance procedures and resolve any arising issues.
• Track shipment progress and provide accurate updates to relevant departments (warehouse, accounting, sales).
• Check and reconcile transportation costs, taxes, and import duties to ensure transparency and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of all import documents in accordance with regulations.

Requirements:

• At least 1–2 years of experience in import, preferably with experience importing from Thailand.
• Proficient in English for import operations (Thai language skills are a plus).
• Solid understanding of import procedures, customs clearance, quality inspection, and C/O Form D benefits.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with foreign partners and logistics service providers.
• Ability to work independently and handle time-sensitive tasks under pressure.
• Honest, detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of solving problems flexibly.
