Junior Accountant_Freight Forwarding

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is suitable for candidates with a background in Accounting or Finance who are eager to develop their careers in the freight forwarding industry.

The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training in billing, invoicing, accounting operations, shipment cost reconciliation and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Billing & Invoicing

• Support reviewing billing data and supporting documents in the i-Freight system.
• Assist in preparing and issuing VAT e-invoices.
• Check billing details, VAT information, exchange rates and related documents.
• Support handling billing discrepancies and invoice adjustments, replacements or cancellations.

2. Accounting Operations

• Assist in monitoring accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP) and customer/vendor balances.
• Follow up on payment due dates and support payment request processing.
• Assist with daily bank transactions and bank reconciliation.
• Support recording revenue, costs, accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Assist in reconciling shipment revenue and costs.

3. Reconciliation & Reporting

• Reconcile data between i-Freight, internal reports and accounting records.
• Support monthly accounting and management reports.
• Assist in reviewing accounting documents and VAT invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Support monthly and year-end closing activities.

4. Tax & Compliance Support

• Assist in preparing accounting documents for VAT, PIT and CIT reporting.
• Support preparation of documents for audits and tax inspections.
• Perform other tasks assigned by Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 0–1 years of experience in accounting; fresh graduates with a good academic background are welcome.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, VAT invoices and Vietnamese accounting regulations.
• Basic knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliation is an advantage.
• Good Excel skills; familiarity with PivotTables and lookup functions is a plus.
• Careful, detail-oriented and responsible, with a strong willingness to learn.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with internal teams.
• Basic to intermediate written English.
• Experience in logistics or freight forwarding is an advantage but not mandatory.
