The Manufacturing / Production Manager is responsible for managing all production and manufacturing activities in the factory to ensure product quality, efficiency, and timely delivery. The role focuses on implementing quality management systems (QMS), maintaining production stability, and driving continuous improvement in productivity, cost efficiency, and process control.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
- Plan, organize, and control production operations to meet delivery schedules and quality standards.
- Coordinate with related departments (engineering, procurement, quality, logistics) to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor daily production performance and adjust plans to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term production plans (daily, weekly, monthly, annual).
2. Quality & Process Control
- Ensure compliance with company QMS and relevant ISO standards.
- Read, understand, and apply QMS documentation in daily operations.
- Collaborate with the Quality team to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Supervise production standards, quality inspection procedures, and process audits.
3. Continuous Improvement
- Lead process optimization initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and lower costs.
- Encourage innovation and technical improvement across the manufacturing process.
- Utilize data analysis and simple programming tools to enhance process monitoring and control.
4. Equipment & Maintenance Management
- Manage production machinery, tools, and CNC equipment.
- Support setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines and related systems.
- Propose equipment investment and upgrades to improve efficiency and capacity.
5. Workforce Management
- Supervise and train production staff, including operators and technicians.
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor attendance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and company regulations.
6. Reporting & Budgeting
- Develop and manage production budgets and cost controls.
- Prepare production performance reports and recommend improvement actions.
- Support customer and auditor visits, ensuring readiness and compliance during factory audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- 5 years of managerial experience in mechanical / CNC manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ability to read and interpret quality documentation.
- Understanding of machining processes (milling, turning, grinding) and basic CNC programming.
- Experience with ISO / quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (2D/3D).
- Proficient in English communication (oral and written).
