About the Role

We are looking for a Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to own the mechanical architecture of major humanoid subsystems. You will make key design decisions and drive projects from concept through prototype and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical architecture and design of complex robotic subsystems, mechanisms, actuators, and transmissions.
• Develop high-performance mechanical designs using advanced 3D CAD.
• Perform and apply FEA, stress, fatigue, dynamic, topology, and design optimization.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up, material selection, and manufacturing principles.
• Design precision mechanical components for high-speed, high-precision robotic systems.
• Work closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers to bring designs into production.
• Drive the full engineering lifecycle from concept → prototype → validation → production.
• Identify and solve complex mechanical and system-level engineering challenges.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other mechanical engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in robotics, automation, or advanced machinery.
• Advanced proficiency in Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, or equivalent CAD tools.
• Strong knowledge of mechanism design, machine design, actuators, transmissions, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing.
• Experience with FEA, stress/fatigue analysis, dynamic analysis, and design optimization.
• Experience designing precision and high-speed robotic systems, such as humanoid robots, robotic arms, or legged robots.
• Proven experience taking products from concept to production.
• Experience working with manufacturing suppliers and engineering partners.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
• Leadership or technical mentoring experience is a plus.
