Database Administration Supervisor
Job Summary:
• The DBA will be responsible for installing, designing, configuring, documenting, delivering, and supporting the databases. The DBA will work closely with: Architects, Development and Integration Leads, Core DBAs, OEM Administrators, Hardware Engineers, External Integrators (consultants), and a mix of On-Offshore Developers. The DBA is responsible for ensuring that the middleware & database technologies are delivered successfully in scope and
on time.
• Deliver a high quality of services to enhance the function of infrastructures, operation and meet
internal customer’s expectations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Creates and maintains all databases used for development, testing, and education and production usage. Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
• Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
• Find opportunities for further optimize the IT infrastructure and operations.
• Plans and implements backup and recovery of the database.
• Controls migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle.
• Coordinate with other team to accomplish business requirement.
• Develop and suggest the recommendations for supporting implementation and continuous improvement to the team and department.
• Another task will be assigned.
Add-on Responsibilities
• Enhance daily IT operations.
• Review and verification of technical documents created by the BA team.
• Find opportunities for further optimize the IT infrastructure and operations.
• Enhance Back up for System Administrators in critical technology areas.
Job Requirements
- University Degree majored in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.
- Minimum 05 years working experience in Database Administrator.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSL/TLS and DNS.
- Having knowledge of design patterns, system architecture, and best practices.
- Practical experience with Oracle Database .
- Having knowledge of Window/UNIX/Linux operating system including troubleshooting and system hardening.
- Having knowledge of another Database such as: DB2, SQL, MySQL or NoSQL.
- Loves to automate system processes.
- An ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to a wide range of people at all levels.
- Be able to communicate complex technical issues.
- Medium English skills (Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing).
- Organized, deadline management in fast-paced working environment.
- Personal integrity, able to work to deadline and under pressure.
- Working Location : Ho Chi Minh City.
- Report to : Head of ICT – Planning.
