Summany:
CTO is responsible for all aspects of IT management and control, including network infrastructure, business applications and systems, cloud technology, and telecommunications. They provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to their team, reporting to Executive Leadership for short and long-term planning, budgeting, oversight, and implementation. The CTO collaborates closely with Retail, Product, Digital, Data, and IT teams to align the technology strategy with the long-term business strategy, centered on digital delivery of consumer and investment banking services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a multi-year technology strategy supporting a wide range of business services, including national digital consumer and investment banking.
- Maintain a world-class technology environment, ensuring the reliable and seamless delivery of critical business functions.
- Partner with Business Teams to create a long-term services roadmap that ensures a consistent, outstanding client experience.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to align technology strategy and investments with business objectives.
- Deliver high-quality, innovative technology solutions and investment projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Manage a data team responsible for controlling and normalizing data flow from various internal and external sources.
- Act as a senior point of escalation for troubleshooting, reporting, and resolving issues.
- Serve as the senior technical solutions analyst, evaluating technology decisions in line with industry standards.
- Build and lead a capable team to execute the Technology strategy, emphasizing resource planning, talent management, skills development, performance management, and diversity and inclusion.
- Contribute as a member of the senior management team, facilitating strategic planning to achieve organizational benefits through shared accountability between technology and the business.
- Collaborate with IT Director, Network Security Director, and Product Development team to establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and strategies that empower business objectives within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested to maintain uninterrupted operations during unforeseen events.
- Optimize operational efficiency across the company.
- Identify and mitigate security threats through strategic planning and methods.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- Over 10 years of progressive IT experience, including management, planning, budgeting, and organizational skills. Experience in the banking/securities industry is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years managing enterprise-scale runtime applications with a focus on key business deliverables and service level expectations.
- Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with business, operations, technology, and other key stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
- Extensive internal networking capabilities to navigate Global Technology and identify business-driven solutions.
- Proficiency in industry innovation and the ability to think strategically about business-led solutions.
- Up-to-date knowledge of IT security, threats, and vulnerabilities affecting the company’s digital and financial assets.
- Understanding of PCI compliance and system security settings for payment systems.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional), PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), CEHv8 (Certified Ethical Hacker).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent managerial, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
